Mid-Ocean Ridge

I can bet that you think that the Himalayas are the longest mountain range ever. Well your WRONG, the Mid-Ocean Ridge is actually the longest mountain range ever, even though it is underwater. The Mid Ocean Ridge shows the boundary between two tectonic plates. You can go there and watch them..... But i suggest you bring some diving gear

California's Major Geological Features

California has exactly 8 geological features. There is the Mojave Desert, San Bernardino Mountains, Lake Tahoe, San Francisco Bay, Sierra Nevada Mountains, Death Valley, Inyo Mountains, and Warner Range Mountains. These geographic features are very much major and fascinating. Some of these geographic features are inhabitable and some are tourist spots. Many of those feature were created by plate tectonics. For example convergent boundaries created the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The San Francisco Bay was formed when countries moved away and the ocean flowed in. All CAUSED BY PLATE TECTONICS.

The Fascinating layers of the Earth

The Earth has four layers, the crust, mantle, inner core, and the outer core. The crust and upper part of the mantle is called the lithosphere. The Earth's surface is so think, the lithosphere is just a little of Earth's inner layers, it is 5-30 miles deep. The mantle is 1800 miles deep. The outer core and inner core is 1300 miles thick and the inner core is 800 miles to the center of the Earth. One interesting fact is that Earthquakes actually start at the lithosphere. Did you know that the deepest mantle is SUPER hot because it is right ABOVE THE CORE! If I were you Ill rather relax in Hawaii then go to the center of the Earth.

No, Pangea was not created by aliens, it was actually created by plate tectonics. Pangea existed between Paleozoic and the Mesozoic era. It was something called a supercontinent, a supercontinent consists of many continents. A ocean surrounded Pangea called Panthalassa. Rodinia is also a super-continent but it was created a LONGGG time ago. It was the first super-continent. After Rodinia broke up it formed up Proto-Laurasia, Proto-Gondwana, and the smaller Congo craton. There is proof of Pangea because fossils of the same dinosaur or plants were found on different continents millions of miles away.
